As a low-budget Independent film, Love Dogs is reliant on donations, crowdfunding, and financial support from the community. The film is self-financed and we can't put the finishing touches on the movie without the help of our friends, family, and community members. 

 

Based in the shadows of the Appalachian mountain range, the story follows a broken man after the tragic death of his son. Struggling with addiction, he now lives the life of a hermit, secretly up-keeping his old family home. When the home sells, a mysterious young women becomes his new infatuation.Their relationship grows deeper as their dark secrets are slowly unveiled. Now with a new purpose in his life, John must choose his new love or something far worse. 

 

The film discusses grief, loss & addiction. 

 

Pre-production began in October of 2022, and shooting will commence May of 2023. All locations are sourced within the commonwealth of Virginia. Production has worked closely with local communities in Warrenton, Fairfax, Marshall, and Front Royal VA. Even with all of the support and donations from these great communities, there are still many financial needs finishing the feature film. We need to pay for music licensing, sound design, music composition, visual FX, marketing, festival submissions, and many other post production costs often forgot. 

 

Our current funds are going towards renting equipment and vehicles, catering and crafty, employing talented local crew members and actors, and acquiring locations throughout the region.
